Bucky Garrett Wins Disc Golf's Polar Open, Amateur Wes Brisco Impresses Against Pros - Yahoo! Sports: "The Polar Open took place in The Colony, Texas on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Bill Allen Memorial Park Disc Golf Course. This PDGA sanctioned C-Tier event included a guaranteed $1000 ace pot, thanks to tournament sponsor Blue Phoenix, however, no one hit the ace this time so it will carry over to the next event. There were 84 disc golf players that came out to compete, and it was Bucky Garrett of Carrollton, Texas who was the winner of the open division with a final score of 7-under par."
