seMissourian.com: Local News: Cape County park board approves disc golf course (10/21/11): "The Cape Girardeau County Park Board has approved an 18-hole disc golf course for Cape County Park North.
Thursday's meeting was held primarily to take a vote on the course. Last week, only two board members attended a proposal for the course presented by Commissioner Jay Purcell, the Frisbee Golf Citizens Group and county residents, so a vote could not be taken."

The Daily Reflector: "Disc golfers of all ages and skill levels will be in Greenville this weekend for the seventh annual Down East Players Cup.
The two-day event is sanctioned by the Pro Disc Golf Association (PDGA) and will feature 90 players from around North Carolina and surrounding states. Two rounds will be played today at the North Recreational Complex course, followed by the final two rounds Sunday at West Meadowbrook Park."
