Pineville recreation area to get second disc golf course | Red River Radio: "The Red River Waterway Commission started construction this month on a second disc golf course at Fort Buhlow Recreation Area near Pineville in Rapides Parish. The first 18-hole course completed there a year ago has been well used. The commission’s operations director Mike Boydstun said enthusiasm for the sport surprised him. Pocket : Rotary to help fund disc golf course: "XENIA — The City of Xenia should soon have a location to participate in one of the quickest growing sports in the country. Xenia, with the help of the Xenia Rotary, will be the home of a disc golf course.
The Xenia Rotary has committed $5,000 toward the project, which is being planned by the Xenia Disc Golf Planning Committee in partnership with the City of Xenia. The course will be located at Sol Arnovitz Park located at 436 Towler Road."

Pocket : 25th Annual New Mexico Disc Golf Championship plays to a packed house: "The 25th Annual New Mexico Disc Golf Championship was played this year in Ruidoso and attracted a full complement of 150 competitors. This fast-growing sport becomes more popular every year and can be played by ages nine to 80. This year's New Mexico championship attracted players from New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Arizona, California and Nevada. One player was reportedly from the Philippines originally"
