2014 Miami Ice Bowl set for Saturday — www.miamiok.com: "MIAMI — This year the Ottawa County Disc Golf Club (OCDGC) will be hosting its 5th annual Miami Ice Bowl on Jan. 25. The 2014 Ice Bowl will be held no matter what the weather conditions are that day, rain, snow or sun. Disc golf tourney takes to hills to raise funds for Food Share: "The more than 60 people who gathered in the South Hills Saturday came together raise money and collect food for Helena Food Share in a somewhat unconventional fashion: by playing disc golf.
Members of the Sleeping Giant Disc Golf Alliance and avid disc golfers came together to participate in the seventh annual Memorial Kelly Hatcher Ice Bowl disc golf tournament."

Disc Golfers Play Through Six Inches of Snow For 22nd Annual Ice Bowl [VIDEO]: "ST. JOSEPH – Even with a fresh six inches of snow on the ground, over 90 disc golfers gathered at Millstream Park for the 22nd Annual Ice Bowl on Saturday morning.
The ice bowl takes place every year no matter what the weather conditions are. Some disc golfers arrived several hours early to clear snow and make paths in the park. Amanda Henry, a coordinator of the event, says that disc golf isn’t just a sport that’s played in nice weather"

This morning people met at the Socastee Park in Myrtle Beach for the Professional Disc Golf Association tournament.
There were 54 participants in the unique sport.
Disc golf follows the same principle as golf except with a frisbee or disc. Players start at a tee box and work their way to a basket.
The fewest strokes through 18 holes, wins."
