Disc golf course open - The Daily Tribune : News: "Over the past few months the City of Mount Pleasant Park Department has been working on a Par 30, nine-hole disc golf course in Heritage Park. 
The project completed earlier this week and is set to open on Thursday. This new course is free to the public. Heritage Park opened in 1997 and included a Disc Golf Course in the original plan, but due to funding the course was not constructed. "

Sheppard Air Force Base Opens Disc Golf Course: "Sheppard Air Force Base has a new activity for airmen and their families.

The official ribbon cutting for a new disc golf course at the Wind Creek Park on base took place Monday morning. A change in Department of Defense policy forced the closure of the golf course back in June.

Sheppard partnered up with the Wichita Falls Disc Golf Association to make the course possible. Organizers say this shows the constant support that Sheppard sees from the Wichita Falls community."

Scouts take a shot at reviving disc golf course

Scouts take a shot at reviving disc golf course: "ALEXANDRIA – Thomas Comer and Austin Zalac are almost at the end of their course.

The two teens renovated the disc golf course at Alexandria Community Park for their Eagle Scout projects.

The course will be dedicated by the Alexandria Park and Recreation Board at 9 a.m. Sept. 13 at the park located on Alexandria Drive."

I am sad to say, I don't think what I and many others have wanted for a long time, will happen any time soon.
