February newsletter from Explore Disc Golf

February newsletter from Explore Disc Golf: "Our newest project: The MacDuffie School in Granby, MA
Spring is right around the corner, and we're extremely excited for all the new projects and upcoming site visits we have scheduled. One project that we can officially announce is the beautiful rolling campus of The MacDuffie School in Granby, MA! This private boarding school houses 250 students from grades 6-12, while sitting on a campus of almost 50 acres. The location not only boasts a wide variety of specimen plantings, rolling topography, and an on-site pond, but has the possibility to expand to the adjoining leased property in the future, which is home to signature pine stands that would provide both shade relief and a variety of demanding holes."

Subtraction by subtraction: Eliminating mental errors to find lower scores

Subtraction by subtraction: Eliminating mental errors to find lower scores: "The term “addition by subtraction” refers to the potential for improving something by removing one or more variable from the equation. In a sports context, it’s normally applied to a scenario where the elimination of a negative factor (an under-performing player or negative influence on a team, for instance) results in some type of improvement. But in golf, less is more, right? We want those scores to go down, not up. Therefore, the title of this post is Subtraction by Subtraction. Same concept, but embracing the points below will result in strokes being subtracted from your average score. Got it? Okay, here we go!"

I found the game too late for that to be a reality. I have too many responsibilities and obligations to make the leap. Not to mention that I don’t have the game for it. But I could win my local disc golf series."

7th Whispering Falls Freeze

7th Whispering Falls Freeze: "Last year Coach and I went up to Pennsylvania to play in this BYOP charity doubles tourney. Since Coach has said he’s taking six months off to rest/heal his shoulder I reached out to El Tie Dye to be my partner. El Tie Dye agreed. Then a week later Coach contacts me looking to put the band back together. I inquired about his timetable (he’d taken six weeks off before he played in Maryland vs. Virginia) and he muttered something about feeling good. Since I already had a partner Coach went looking on the message board like a lounge lizard during happy hour."
