New disc golf course opens in Galion - Sports News | Richland Source - Richland Source: "A tournament was held to kickoff the opening, which saw participation from over 40 people. Phil’s Deli provided lunch at the opening event.
Shirley Clark, chair of the Galion Parks Committee and member of City Council, said of the new course, “I really feel that it’s going to be a good asset. Disc golf is something that everyone can do."

While these aren't the prettiest decorations for the park, they are a part of the main attraction for many locals. People come and throw flat, round objects at the baskets from short, medium and long distances. "

Why everyone with kids should teach them to disc golf - Disc Golf Course Review: "My 10-year old daughter came out to play league with me tonight in the 90+ degree heat. She has never played more than 9 holes before. She made it through 12 before she was beat and her mom came and picked her up.
She is homeschooled so she has no bedtime and usually goes to bed around 11. She went to bed at 8:30 and was out cold when I checked on her at 9:00"
