Disc golf course eyed for Beattie Park: The idea for a “disc golf” course has been on the project wish list of the Lompoc Parks and Recreation Department for over 20 years. However, it took the determination of 26-year-old Cal Poly industrial engineering student Nicholas Schmidt to make the project possible.
