Brooksville hosts professional disc golf tournament: "BROOKSVILLE - Professional disc golfers from across the country gathered in Brooksville over the weekend to compete in "Throw Down the Mountain."
This is the second year the event was held on a 60-acre property on Cooper Terrace in Brooksville following a hiatus since 2006.
Event organizer Michael Barnett said 176 pros competed on the 18-hole course.
A former limestone quarry, the course features one of the 10 highest elevation points in the state."
