"Today, the 166 acres around the Colorado State University football stadium west of Fort Collins are largely a gravel wasteland, with a few scraggly trees and poorly demarcated parking areas. The land is most commonly used by residents walking their dogs off leash, since the parking areas are normally gated off."

'Ice Bowl' draws disc golf players to Greece
"The 15th Annual Greater Rochester Ice Bowl was the icy equivalent of a golf tournament. But instead of clubs, there were plastic discs. And instead of holes, there were medieval-looking baskets. The enthusiasm and fervor of players at Basil Marella Park in Greece this morning, however, could rival any sport."

Many golfers attached long streamers to their Frisbees to avoid losing them under the deep snowpack. Yet with a free disc and a hearty lunch included with their entry, no players went home unrewarded."
