2011 PDGA Pro Disc Golf World Championships : August 7th — August 13th, 2011, Monterey Bay, California: "The three deaf competitors in Santa Cruz for the Worlds earned their way into the tournament with their performances at the 11th Deaf Disc Golf Championships in Austin, Texas, earlier this year. Justin Ashton won the open division with Boyes taking second, and Todd Thompson won the 40-and-older title."
