Ohio state parks offer disc golf: "There are close to 100 disc golf courses in Ohio. Spread around the state fairly well. The top rated course in Ohio is Deis Hill Park. Deis hill course has 3 tee boxes per hole, and ranges in length from easy 4370 feet par 57, to a long 9350 feet par 62. The long tees give you 4 holes over 700 feet to challenge even the big throwers. The course in located in Dover Ohio, about 30 miles south of Canton, the home of the football hall of fame. There are some big elevation changes in the park that make for some tough shots. The reviews online all say it's a very nice to look at course, but hard. Area Wide News: Community Sports: Disc golf club to host benefit Ice Bowl (01/02/14): "The West Plains Area Disc Golf Club is holding its second annual Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament at 9 a.m. Jan. 4, at the Brett Stoddard Memorial Disc Golf Course, which is located approximately 12 miles south of West Plains on Hwy 17.
The tournament will consist of two rounds of 18 and is open to the public to play or watch. Although players can register the day of, they are encouraged to pre-register by contacting chairman Mike Sisco at 417-293-0292."
