Two St. Cloud men took part in the World Flying Disc Federation Overall Frisbee Championships on July 18-24 in Fort Collins, Colo.

Tim Mackey, 56, took 11th overall in the open division and took home a silver medal in the Senior Grand Division, which is for players 55 and older."

On the men's team, it was David Feldberg from Portland, Ore., who became the champion in the 2011 European Open. This was his second victory; the first came in 2006. Valarie Jenkins became the women's champion with a total score of 19-over-par. Fellow Americans Paige Pierce and Melody King placed second and third, respectively. This was also Jenkins' second win; her first victory was recorded in 2009."
