Disc golf as a workout: "The sport of disc golf was invented in the mid 1970’s, and for most of the first 30 years was played by either people who were hardcore into disc golf, or by those who just thought it was a cool way to spend some time outside. Over the past 5 to 10 years there have become many more serious disc golfers, as well as many more who have discovered that the sport is an inexpensive, fun game, and a great way to get in or stay in shape."
